About the product

This set of 2 worksheets helps students investigate the six main factors that influenced a families decision when building a settlement in the past e.g. communication, aspect, resources, shelter, defence and water.Students are required to work together to try and identify the 6 factors based on a set of clues. They must then classify these factors and use them to complete an extended piece of writing. The worksheets finish by looking at a photo of a settlement and identifying the good and bad siting features of that area.
