About the product

This power point presentation explores some of the visual images linked to north east England. The slides can be used as an introduction to the area and are designed to encourage pupils to discuss places that they have visited or know about, thereby building on previous knowledge. The places may be labelled on a large map and photos printed off to create a classroom wall display. Pupils understanding of place is reinforced by a series of questions, and using ICT, pupils have the opportunity of giving a presentation of their own chosen place in the north east of England.
